Jordan Vauvert Born an Abomination, groupe d'un certain Tony Hicks et d'un encore plus certain Damián Antón Ojeda, sort un peu de nulle part avec ce premier E.P. (la tentation de le qualifier d'album était forte vu ses 45 minutes) et, s'il y a beaucoup de bonnes choses, tout n'est pas à garder. Pour de l'emo/black metal dépressif, Suicide Garner sort des sentiers battus. Quand certaines sont très belles ("Nostalgija"), d'autres semblent hors sujets ("From Suffering" et "Sleep Forever"). Il mérite d'être tenté. Favorite track: Nostalgija.

Sur Greyness of a Young Despondency, on sent encore que Damián Antón Ojeda est sur un début de carrière par le côté résolument franc de son black metal dépressif. Ce n'est pas tant la subtilité (et encore que : quand on écoute "Untitled III", il y a de quoi nuancer le propos...) qui est importante que l'authenticité de ce désespoir qui nous est craché à la gueule, encore plus sur "...And Hurting Colors" dont le but est de nous détruire émotionnellement. On lit ce titre, Sun into water, et on se passe dans la tête ces images romantiques et un peu niaises du soleil en train de tomber dans la mer au crépuscule. Mais Sun into water, ce n'est pas ça : c'est un cataclysme pur et dur dans lequel Damián précipite le soleil dans les abîmes. Son black metal atmosphérique est d'un froid boréal qui prend jusqu'aux os et qui n'a rien à envier à des pointures comme ARBRE ou Bekëth Nexëhmü. Et quand le soleil revient avec le chant clair...
